You don't need to pay for an article. We might have access through a different source than the one you found--and if we don't, you can request a PDF copy of the article.

If you're on campus, that either means we don't have access because we don't subscribe to the journal, or we have access through a different site. Go to Tripod and search for the journal title. We might have the content you need from a different source, but you'll have to use Tripod to find it. 

If you're off campus, you might have access, but you'll need to be logged in to the proxy server. You can search Tripod for the journal (which will prompt you to log in to the proxy server), or you can try the "bookmarklet," which will take you to the proxy login directly. 

If these steps don't work, and Bryn Mawr doesn't have a subscription to the journal, request the article through Interlibrary Loan. You should get a PDF copy within a few days.

(Many articles are also available open access. Try searching online too, to see if the author has posted an open access version somewhere.)
